Yowza. This ultra-rare 1952 Ferarri 340 is about to go up for auction in California. It’s all set to go down later this year. You had better get your money saved now. I have a feeling this is going to go for quite a few pretty pennies.
This bad boy was originally built as a racer, partaking in several notable races in the 1950s. It cost just $14,000 back then. Estimates put the current worth as somewhere in the millions.
Here is what the Chairman of RM Auctions Rob Myers has to say about the vehicle:
“0226AT is arguably one of the premier collector cars ever built by Ferrari. Boasting a spectacular pedigree that includes such racing greats as Alberto Ascari, Carroll Shelby and Jack McAfee, it represents an important chapter in Ferrari’s early competition history, add to that its incredible rarity – one of just three built – and its matching-numbers originality, and you have a terrific car deserving of close inspection.”
Good luck everybody!
Airstream are the world’s best at creating luxury Caravans. It should come as no surprise, then, that their next generation Series 2 International 684 Caravan is full of the kinds of bells and whistles that only money can buy. Money can’t buy you love, but it sure can buy you a great caravan.
The kitchen is bigger than ever and the units now come packed standard with a high quality LCD television. There are more shelves than ever and the shower has been completely resdesigned. Speaking of redesigns, the partitions are now easier than ever to shift around. So go hog wild. Make the caravan of your dreams.
The current price of these beauties are just $85,000, which considering the luxury it represents, isn’t half bad.
We all love our kids, so why not give them the best toy scooter money can buy? Designer Jerry Koza has just provided that toy scooter, in the form of the uber-fashionable and cool Torpedo Scooter.
The Czech designer has pulled put all the stops for this one, as you can see in the photo above. The “Torpedo” line is available in various colors including purple, yellow, red and other patterns that would look at home on a racing car.
The Torpedo Scooter line is available now for $1,100. That isn’t that much when you consider the smile on your children’s innocent faces.
Lamborghini, never to be outdone by themselves, have announced their most ambitious car to date, the Sesto Elemento. These limited editions Lambos will see no more than 20 made at a cost of around $2.8 million a pop. You read that right. This is Lamborghini’s most expensive car ever.
The Sesto Elemento is made of a range of composite materials, including a carbon fiber monocoque body shell and suspension parts made of forged carbon fiber. A 5.2-liter V10 engine taken from the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera that will deliver 570hp will power the Sesto Elemento. It will hit 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds. Wow. It must be noted, then, that this car is intended for track use. Thus the exorbitant price tag.
Still, if you can afford it, you can do whatever you want with it. The Sesto Elemento will go on sale at the end of the year.
Two of the most iconic brands around have joined forces. Hasselblad and Ferrari have created the Hasselblad H4D Ferrari Limited Edition camera. Hasselblad is now shipping the limited edition flagship camera for about $28,425 plus tax, and only 499 units are up for grabs.
The H4D Ferrari Limited Edition camera ships with the familiar Ferrari “rosso fuoco” color and bears the legendary Racing Shield. It comes packed inside an exclusively designed box with a glass top, which is labeled with the distinctive Ferrari Racing Shield.
Nothing like the feel of cruising down the highway on your hog, sweet mama in tow, listening to your, um, iPod?!
You heard that right. Hell’s Foundry have released the DashLink. It’s an iPhone/iPod docking station just for Harley users. It works with Harley Davidson FLHT/FLTR and FLHR models.
The DashLink docking station includes a smart charging system with a self-sensing on/off circuit to detect if a device is present. You can also adjust the volume using handlebar controls. Jack Armstrong’s million-dollar Cosmic Starship Harley Davidson was unveiled recently at Bartels Harley-Davidson in Marina Del Rey, California. The artist, known for his Cosmic Extensionalism paint-style, combines extreme colors and textures. This Harley has his signature marks all over it. The downside? It’ll cost you a cool million in order to sport this baby around town. But think of the upside. You’ll OWN the Sturgis festival.
Imagine if Lightsabers were actually real? Well, that’ not gonna happen anytime soon but until then we have this. The infamous, and cool as hell looking, Lightcycle from the movie Tron can now be purchased! The bet part? It’s totally street legal! The Parker Brothers team is building five custom one-off Lightcycles in black with each bike featuring an accent color (red, blue, yellow, green and orange). The Lightcycles are decked out with neon glowing accent colors frosted with plexiglass. Another cool part? They are only $35,000.
Cervelo has issued a limited edition edition Chrome Hearts x bike that costs a whopping $60,000! To put it in financial perspective, Cervelo’s own P4 TT bike sells for just $6,000. So what do you get for that extra money? This bike has been decked out with custom Chrome Hearts graphics, leather, precious metals and rhinestones. So it’s more a work of art than an actual bicycle, but don’t worry it rides like a dream.
