Imagine if Lightsabers were actually real? Well, that’ not gonna happen anytime soon but until then we have this. The infamous, and cool as hell looking, Lightcycle from the movie Tron can now be purchased! The bet part? It’s totally street legal! The Parker Brothers team is building five custom one-off Lightcycles in black with each bike featuring an accent color (red, blue, yellow, green and orange). The Lightcycles are decked out with neon glowing accent colors frosted with plexiglass. Another cool part? They are only $35,000.
You read that title right. Audi has finally released it’s long-anticipated, um, foosball table. The popular maker of luxury sports cars have taken some time off of the car biz to focus their energies on where it really belongs: Everyone’s favorite bar game.
Their foosball table just may be the most expensive to ever grace this humble planet. It costs over $15,000 and features aluminum casing along with stitched leather that meets the high standards demanded in professional tournaments. The company vows to be making only 20 of these units so you had better hop on it fast. Or, twirl on it, however foosball is played.
Cervelo has issued a limited edition edition Chrome Hearts x bike that costs a whopping $60,000! To put it in financial perspective, Cervelo’s own P4 TT bike sells for just $6,000. So what do you get for that extra money? This bike has been decked out with custom Chrome Hearts graphics, leather, precious metals and rhinestones. So it’s more a work of art than an actual bicycle, but don’t worry it rides like a dream.
As if we need more news indicating the death of our real estate model. This Malibu home-owner is sweetening the deal on the sale of his Malibu home by throwing in a free Ferrari. The value of the car is set at around $750,000. The house isn’t bad either. The 5,834-square-foot ocean-view home is in Malibu, California and is selling for $4.4 million dollars. The house features expansive ocean views on half an acre with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, pool and ample room to park at least 13 cars. Those of you interested should secure the deal before June 30, 2010.
Dave Ritchie, co-founder of Vancouver-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, held an auction to sell his beloved luxury mega-yacht recently. The boat, Apoise, sold in just 15 minutes to an unknown buyer from the United Kingdom. The price? $46 million dollars. That’s a lot of all-you-can-eat lobster buffets.
Apoise is the 89th-largest luxury yacht in the world, with five guest suites, two Jacuzzis, six decks and a staff of 19 — and is the only such vessel that has ever been put up for auction without a reserve bid. The vessel was bought in 2006 as “a wonderful business tool,” with plans to sail the world, visiting friends, clients and family for a couple of years. Although there has been a significant dip in the pleasure-boat market since 2008, it seems that things have picked up steam and are recovering. Yes!
You love your Lamborghini. You love your home. Why not combine the two? Home designer Takuya Tsuchida is doing just that. This newly designed home features a secret motorized door that raises whatever is in the garage right to the living room. This house in Fukushima Prefecture is designed for an enthusiastic client, who owns a Lamborghini Countach Anniversary edition and is a further proof that the automobile’s role as machine has been abandoned in favor of its status as art.
What to get the kid who has everything? Why, a Ferrari F40 of course. Only, you’d get arrested if you let a kid take a spin around with a real Ferrari F40. Enter the mini version!
Powered by an 80 cc Honda motor, this “toy” can accommodate two kids with restricted height and weight. Made in Germany in tribute of the first Ferrari dealership opening in post-Cold war Moscow, this machine is available for $25,000.
Well, eco-freaks, prepare to get mad. There is now a Porsche covered in whale skin vinyl. The makers of the world’s most expensive SUV, Dartz, has unveiled a whole new way to wrap cars up. Whale skin vinyl! Don’t worry, though. It’s artificial. The covering apparently emulatesf whale penis skin surface. On the flipside Dartz will include a SAVE The WHALES logo on the flip side of the car, just so you can be sure to not piss anybody off. Good looking out Dartz!
Japan gets all the luck. In addition to early access to video games and creepy hentai, they also get to try out one of these e-bikes before the western world. The Panasonic BE-ENV is already available there and costs about $6,000 to $8,000. Why so much? Because this titanium frame e-bike is awesome, that’s why. The Panasonic BE-ENV is powered by a lithium-ion battery and absorbs vibrations better than any other e-bike. Featuring three different driving modes, including an eco-mode, the user can directly choose the suitable mode from an LCD monitor that also keeps track of one’s average speed, distance traveled and more. It can travel a distance of up to 69km, depending on what battery you choose. Not bad for a little e-bike! No word on when it will be available here but you could always mailorder.
