Sure, having your own private waterfall is absolutely exorbitant. You know what is even more exorbitant? Having one made from your personalized DNA. Sounds like science fiction, right? Well, it’s here and it’s now. A company known as DNA 11 has been prepping their one-of-a-kind DNA Waterfall collection. The units are made from the customer’s unique DNA strand. Just image staring into that waterfall and knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it comes from your everloving DNA. Pretty good feeling. How does it work? When you place an order, the company sends you a kit that has you extracting a touch of DNA. Then you choose colors, size and general aesthetics. The rest is done by the science wizards at DNA 11. They look pretty cool, right? The price varies depending on the choices you make but expect to pay a pretty penny. DNA don’t come cheap.

Kohler’s Numi toilet is the high-tech loo of your dreams

The kingdom of high-tech toilets just may have a new ruler. Kohler’s just released Numi toilet system has bells and whistles to spare. What can this bad boy do? Well, for one it comes with a remote that lets you control the toilet from up to twenty feet away. This is perfect for you husbands out there who consistently forget to flush. You know who you are! The Numi also features a full-color LCD touchscreen interface, built-in personalized bidet functionality and deodorizer, dual-flush technology with .6 and 1.28 gallons per flush, an integrated air dryer, lid that opens and closes automatically, built-in music system, MP3 player connection and FM radio, heated seat, foot warmer and illuminated panels. All of this high-tech luxury comes at a cost, though. The Numi costs $6,400. It isn’t so bad when you consider how much time you spend in your bathroom. You ought to get out more.

INAX releases $100,000 luxury bathtub - Features white gold

Bath tubs haven’t really changed all that much in the past fifty years. It’s about time for an innovation of luxury, don’t you think? Japanese company INAX agree with you. They’ve unveiled a luxury bath tub recently that is priced at ¥7,927,500 (about US $93,450). The exterior of the bath is covered with 10-millimeter tiles of 24-karat white gold. The interior features all the accouterments you’d expect from a high-end bathtub. It’s available for order on October 1st and units will ship early next year. Order here.

Hugh Thomas’ Orbis shower features mood lighting and multiple spray outlets

You know what the best part of futuristic sci-fi movies are? Those showers they use to get rid of all the alien grime. Well folks, the future is here. Introducing the Orbis. The Orbis shower module by Hugh Thomas is a finalist from the innovative product design competition. It really is something. It creates a 180-degrees spray from overhead, side and underneath spray units. There are six multichip LEDs positioned on the interior ceiling of the module to soothe your senses with the colorful mood lighting. Also, the LEDs are going to last over 100,000 hours so no worries on that front. You can even mount the entire unit on the wall for an extra futuristic look. It’s just a design finalist for now, but who knows. Maybe one day we’ll all have our own Orbis.
