Bath tubs haven’t really changed all that much in the past fifty years. It’s about time for an innovation of luxury, don’t you think? Japanese company INAX agree with you. They’ve unveiled a luxury bath tub recently that is priced at ¥7,927,500 (about US $93,450).
The exterior of the bath is covered with 10-millimeter tiles of 24-karat white gold. The interior features all the accouterments you’d expect from a high-end bathtub. It’s available for order on October 1st and units will ship early next year. Order here.
Logitech and their audio group Ultimate Ears have released a $999 pair of custom in-ear reference monitor headphones. They teamed up with EMI Music’s Capitol Studios for the appropriately named In-Ear Reference Monitors.
They are designed for studio musicians and studio engineers and intended for use while recording, mixing and mastering original music content. They are indeed the perfect pair of headphones for studio use, boasting -32 dB of noise isolation and three balanced armature speakers. They are available now.

The Orbis shower module by Hugh Thomas is a finalist from the innovative product design competition. It really is something. It creates a 180-degrees spray from overhead, side and underneath spray units. There are six multichip LEDs positioned on the interior ceiling of the module to soothe your senses with the colorful mood lighting. Also, the LEDs are going to last over 100,000 hours so no worries on that front. You can even mount the entire unit on the wall for an extra futuristic look.
It’s just a design finalist for now, but who knows. Maybe one day we’ll all have our own Orbis.
